SCHOOL SAFE ARRIVAL PROGRAM

SCHOOL SAFE ARRIVAL PROGRAM
The safety of our students is a priority at St. Joseph Catholic School. In order to ensure the safe arrival of each student our attendance is monitored each morning and afternoon. It is an expectation for the parent/guardian to notify the school regarding late arrivals and absences. The secretary makes contact with the home of any student whose absence has not been explained. Our safe arrival program relies on effective communication between the home and school.
We require a phone call to the school office if your child is going to be absent or late. You may also call and leave a voice mail at (613)275-2353.
An additional option to reporting an absence is:
* Using your mobile device, download and install the SchoolMessenger app from the Apple App Store or the Google Play Store (or from the links at https://go.schoolmessenger.com). The first time you use the app, select Sign Up to create your account. Select Attendance then Report an Absence.
* Use the SafeArrival website, https://go.schoolmessenger.com. The first time you use the website, select Sign Up to create your account. Select Attendance then Report an Absence.
We are obligated to ensure the safety of all students regarding daily attendance. Supervision is available beginning at 9:00 a.m.
These options are available 24 hours/day, 7 days a week.
Future absences can be reported at any time.
