Erythema (Fifth Disease) reported
A student at St. Joseph`s has recently been diagnosed with Fifth Disease, which is characterized by a red or rosy rash on both cheeks for one to three days. The rash does not itch and may be accompanied by a low-grade fever, runny nose or sore throat.
There is a health concern for pregnant women if they are exposed to Fifth Disease, especially in their first trimester.
